I love a good Pioneer list. Whether it’s full of brands I know and love, like the top women-led companies across the country, or a more specific list, like today’s top women-led cannabis brands in Oregon, there’s something special about friendly competition. Today’s list is particularly interesting because it’s pulled many brands I, as an out-of-stater, am not familiar with. (Though our editor-in-chief, Felisa, may have a different take, being from Oregon.) What’s better than learning about more women-led cannabis companies?
If you’re not familiar with Pioneer Intelligence’s heat index, the data is not driven by sales numbers, but instead examines consumer engagement based on three pillars: social media, earned media, and website traffic. All of these brands have successfully leveraged these three pillars to make their way to the top.
SugarTop Buddery’s placement on this list comes as no surprise. We wrote about this vertically-integrated company recently, where we admired their vintage ‘70s style complemented by environmentally conscious standards. The result? Seriously good weed, or as they call it, Good Smokes.
And then there’s Siskiyou Sungrown, which was recognized as one of Oregon’s hottest homegrown brands last summer. This company is all about letting nature do the work, and clearly it’s paid off, landing a number-six ranking.
Number-one ranked brand Luminous Botanicals has nailed the tonics, oils, and tinctures market, with gently-branded products for various uses, as well as a tasty-looking sun syrup. Number-two ranked brand Green Source Gardens reflects a common theme in this list: ecocentric farms that care deeply about the environment and quality of the crop they produce.
