Yesterday the voters in four states came out against prohibition. Recreational cannabis is now legal in 15 states, plus Washington D.C. On this map, blue indicates the states that have passed recreational. It’s pretty satisfying to look at the blue block that makes up the legal west, from border to border.
Medical cannabis also made gains. As of this morning, Mississippi is projected to approve a medical program. South Dakota is the first state to legalize medical cannabis and recreational cannabis at the same time, which should be interesting.
