How can a medical dispensary improve access during rising inflation? Pay for patients’ gas

A Maryland medical cannabis company has found a unique way to prevent rising inflation from blocking access to their plant medicine. Curio Wellness is offering over $40,000 in gas gift cards to licensed Maryland patients on qualifying purchases to help ease the burden of rapidly rising inflation in the US.

The move is a response to a consistent decline in patient purchases over the last four months attributed to economic hardships. Patients are encouraged to combine trips to the dispensary with trips to the gas station as a way to promote more savings.

Curio Wellness will be providing $10 or $25 Royal Farms gas gift cards beginning March 17th at the following Maryland dispensaries:

Curio Wellness – 2060A York Rd, Timonium, MD 21093,

Green Point Wellness – 116 Washington Blvd, Laurel, MD 20707,

Green Point Wellness – 823a Elkridge Landing Rd, Linthicum Heights, MD 21090.

The gift cards will be distributed while supplies last, and only when customers purchase Curio Wellness products. This includes flower and pre-rolls, vapes, Y3K vapes, and medicated chews. Other stocked products from Dixie, Kaviar, and Wana are not eligible.

Curio Wellness is the first to launch a program of this type, but the company is encouraging others to hop on board and offer their medical patients some extra assistance too.

“No one should have to choose between paying for medicine or other daily living expenses, and with the aftermath of COVID, inflation, and the war in Ukraine, it’s affecting our patient’s ability to afford their medical cannabis,” said

Wendy Bronfein, co-founder, chief brand officer, and director of public policy at Curio Wellness.
