Oregon’s top ten hottest homegrown brands

Oregon is a weed powerhouse with a powerful legacy. And Oregonians know their weed and tend to look into the pedigree of growers and brands. So when we look at the Oregon brands that are hottest in Oregon, we know we’ll see some legit companies.

Is this the best weed in Oregon? Could be. (Personally, I think my neighbor is growing the best weed in Oregon in her home garden.) What we know for sure is that these are the Oregon-only brands that are doing the best job leveraging their brand stories to engage discerning Oregon consumers. These are the brands who are kicking ass with their social media, drawing consumers to their websites, and garnering attention in the press. (This data was gathered during the month of July. For more information on how the Pioneer Intelligence Heat Index works, visit their website. As a bonus you’ll get to check out the hottest brands nationwide.)

So what are these brands doing right? For that we spoke with Jeff Yapp, CEO of Chalice Farms, which is, according to Pioneer Intelligence, the homegrown Oregon company that’s #1 for consumer engagement. “At Chalice Farms, our consumer engagement strategy revolves around three key elements: community, events, and content,” Yapp said. But he went on to stress that consumer engagement really starts in the store. “The foundation of consumer engagement is all about the experience we offer our customers in our stores, and we are completely committed to having the most knowledgeable and compassionate team in the industry.”

So marketing based on compelling events and founded in a compelling real-life experience? Words to live by. And without further ado, the top ten hottest cannabis brands in Oregon…

Pioneer Intelligence leverages data to benchmark marketing performance of consumer-facing cannabis brands. Built by a group of experienced and passionate marketers and data scientists, Pioneer helps industry stakeholders better understand how communications strategies resonate with audiences. In early 2021, Pioneer launched its first products, a suite of marketing performance scorecards. These reports present actionable data across three focus areas: social media, earned media and web-related activities. More information can be found on the company’s website, https://pioneer.buzz.

Disclaimer:  Pioneer currently has more than 550 brands in their active pool with another 250 brands in their pipeline. Pipeline brands require six months of data before being added to the active pool. Lists of both active and pipeline brands can be found at pioneer.buzz/brands.
